Our Beginner’s Course, commonly referred to as the “Introduction to Motorcycling” (ITM), is designed specifically for those who have little or no prior experience riding a motorcycle, scooter, or moped.

Compulsory basic training (CBT) was introduced in 1990 to help reduce the very high accident rate among inexperienced motorcyclists. 

If your CBT certificate is still valid or expired within the last six months, we invite you to renew it at one of our six training centres across London: Alperton, Dagenham, Croydon, Edgware, Eltham, and Wimbledon.

Universal Motorcycle Training is proud to announce that it has been chosen by both PizzaHut (YUMIII) to carry out PizzaHut Day 2 on their behalf.

If you are aged 17 or over you can get a restricted full motorcycle licence by taking an A1 Licence course and test.

If you are aged 19 or over you can get a restricted full motorcycle licence by taking an A2 Restricted Motorcycle Licence course and test.

If you are aged 24 or over or held an A2 licence for two years you can get an unrestricted motorcycle licence by taking a Direct Access (DAS) course and passing the practical tests. 

The DVSA Enhanced Rider Scheme (ERS) checks your motorcycle riding skills and provides training to help you improve.

A good rider never stops learning. If you’re already an experienced motorcyclist, and a full UK Motorcycle Licence holder, advanced rider training can teach you to become even better.
