Valid Driving Licences to ride a motorcycle/scooter in the United Kingdom:

• A valid Full UK Car Driving licence accompanied by a valid CBT Certificate (DL196) or

• A valid Provisional UK Driving Licence with valid Category A (provisional motorcycle entitlement), if you intend to ride over a 50cc moped, accompanied by a valid CBT Certificate (DL196) or

• A valid full EU Car Driving licence accompanied by a confirmation of registration of your EU licence in the United Kingdom (D91 form, or D58/2) showing provisional motorcycle entitlement (Category A), accompanied by a valid CBT Certificate (DL196) or

• A valid full EU Motorcycle Driving licence as long as the rider has not been a resident of the United Kingdom for more than three (3) years or

• A valid full International Motorcycle Driving Licence from a signatory Country of the Convention on Road Traffic in Vienna (1968) as long as the rider has not been a resident in the United Kingdom for more than 12 months.
