A team as diverse as the communities we serve – Everyone is welcome at Universal Motorcycle Training®

At Universal Motorcycle Training®, we believe that learning to ride should be an empowering and inclusive experience for everyone — no matter your background, language, or level of confidence. That belief is reflected in our exceptional team of professional instructors, who don’t just teach—they connect, inspire, and understand.

Our instructors are among the most qualified and experienced in the industry, with DVSA and MCIA accreditations and years of hands-on teaching under their belts. But what truly sets them apart is the cultural richness they bring to the road. Many of our team members are multilingual, fluent in a wide range of languages including Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, Polish, Farsi, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Pashto, Punjabi and Gujarati.

This means that whether you’re a first-time rider or returning to motorcycling after years away, we can deliver training in a way that makes you feel fully supported, clearly understood, and genuinely welcomed. We recognise that clear communication builds confidence, and that cultural understanding can turn a good training experience into an exceptional one.

We are proud to reflect the incredible diversity of London and its surrounding communities—not only in our team, but in the thousands of riders we’ve had the privilege of training. No matter where you come from or what language you speak, our mission remains the same: to help you ride safely, confidently, and with the freedom that only two wheels can bring.

At Universal, you’re not just joining a course. You’re becoming part of a community where every rider matters.

Angelo -

Where do I start. Angelo had so much patience with me and my driving buddy Rahil. We were both experienced drivers but had lost confidence riding especially when it came to the road ride part of the CBT. I’d like to personally thank Angelo for his expertise in guiding us for the day. I know it took us many times to understand what to do and do it properly but with the right coaching we got it. It was so fun getting back on the motorcycle and learning the basics, I can’t wait for what the future will entail and I will always remember having the best instructor. If you plan on doing a CBT or get any of your motorcycle licenses please check out universal
Motorcycles as they are the best in London, from attending other motorcycle schools such as north London motorcycles I would by far say universal excels them in every manner, they greet you and most importantly are patient and that’s what every learner needs.

Thank you again Angelo,

It is the second time that I had my CBT course with Universal, and I am really happy with the customer experience. It is easy to book, the communication through emails and messages are great to remember the requirements, they called me to check my booking, and Vicente was again amazing instructor. He is calm and nice, always respectful with all levels of learners. So far is the best centre training in London.

I did my CBT, Gear Conversion Course and all my Mod1 and Mod2 with these guys as well as my TFL 1-2-1 training. Excellent experiences throughout! All the instructors are great and very knowledgeable and the bikes are all brilliant to learn on.

Extra shout out to Ryan who was my main instructor throughout my journey to a full bike licence.

Would and do, recommend them to anyone looking to get into bikes!

Was such a fun day!! Been wanting my bike licence for so long and the team made it a breeze. When you think about licences you think oh so serious and scary but my instructor made it so fun. The day went by so fast and even with it raining briefly at one point no one cared because we we’re all having fun. I dont recall the name of my instructor but he was from Portugal and ever so kind.

Angelo was our instructor for CBT, he was really great at teaching. I thought riding a scooter was such an easy thing. It is not at all, the course allows you to understand the driving technique and etc. I definitely recommend it!

I feels extremely happy to say that, my trainer Mr. Ashad is very good to teach all the rules and regulations in my CBT license test, as he is very calm while teaching and gives depth knowledge. Apart from this he is multi lingual and also knows my regional language (Hindi), which benefits me a lot in terms of learning. I appreciate his efforts and training

Did my CBT course with Paul as my instructor in Alperton.

Really enjoyed the day. Paul is very patient and humorous. Took time to answer all our questions and demonstrate exercises himself if we didn’t fully understand something. Would recommend doing your CBT with him.

Did both the ITM and CBT courses here. Top-notch teaching. Attention to details, excellent coaching and feedback. Other riders who came in for a CBT renewal told me that the trainers here gave us all sorts of tips and advice and taught us good habits that go beyond and above the minimum curriculum of the CBT course they did elsewhere. Will definitely be returning for the full A license

A well deserved 5 stars! My sincere thanks to Jorge who not only is a good instructor, politely correcting all the mistakes on the spot, but is very personable and made me feel throughout a day like it's a meeting with old friend. I knew I can do it, but Jorge made the day almost exciting from learning new skills. A firm hand shake with a smile completed a great day! Will do A2 in 2023!

Completed the CBT course with this company. Jorge, the Instructor, was helpful and patient which made it easier to relax and concentrate on improving your skills through the day. Happy to recommend the company (plenty of communication by email and text before the course) and the Wimbledon training centre.

Had never riden a motorcycle before, did the Introduction To Motorcycling course earlier in the year and then followed up with a couple hours or private lessons and CBT at the end of August. Brilliant instructors throughout each stage of my training. Would definitely return for further qualifications and recommend UMT Wimbledon for anyone considering getting into motorcycling.

I had a fabulous day with an incredibly knowledgeable and humorous instructor called ASAD SHAIKH who put us all at ease. He instilled confidence through his clear communication as well as in Urdu also which is my mother language ..I understand every instructions about riding easily because of language, making instructions easy to follow. Loads of fun, would thoroughly recommend. Having done my CBT repeatedly, this day finally convinced me to plan for furthe r training with a view to getting my licence in full in the next year or so. ALSO. Super friendly and warm on the phone, making my training centre of choice of my choice…I really recommend to do CBT from Universal Bike training as well.

I recently completed my CBT at Universal Motorcycle Training and was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. The facilities are top-notch, featuring a comfortable classroom with air conditioning, spotless toilets, and refreshments available throughout the day. They provide all the necessary safety equipment, including brand new gloves, jackets, and vests. The motorcycles and helmets are also brand new, ensuring a safe and enjoyable riding experience.
Having done CBT courses elsewhere, I can confidently say that Universal Motorcycle Training stands out from the rest. The quality of their equipment and facilities is unmatched.
A special mention goes to Jon, the instructor. His professionalism and helpfulness made the training session both informative and enjoyable. Jon's focus on safety is impeccable, and his passion for his job is evident in his thorough knowledge of road traffic regulations and motorbikes.
