1. Overview

1.1 1-2-1 Motorcycle Skills and Beyond Compulsory Basic Training (CBT): Skills for Delivery Riders

Please note that these are neither compulsory nor DVSA regulated courses. Clients will be riding under their own licences, risk, and total responsibility. The role of the instructor is only a learning facilitator. The Client will be required to sign a Pre-training Disclaimer for Professional Indemnity Cover Purposes; the documentation verification is only for due diligence purposes.

1.2. 1-2-1 Motorcycle Skills: Universal Motorcycle Training Limited (the Service Provider) is expected to ride any route across London and outside the city, up to 15 miles outside of the M25 motorway.

As evidence for qualification for 1-2-1 Motorcycle Skills training, the starting or finishing address of the Client’s ride must be within at least one of the 33 London boroughs.

Each Client is allowed to take the course one time only.

The Service Provider will offer to film each session digitally as an aid to instruction, and to play back the Client’s riding behaviour to the Client when they would benefit from this. Permission must be given by the Client at the start of the session, and no filming will be undertaken if permission is not given. All footage must be deleted immediately upon completion of the training session.

For Beyond Compulsory Basic Training (CBT): Skills for Delivery Riders: Clients must attend all the scheduled days of training in full. Attendance requires the trainee to attend on time and to allow for traffic, transport as well as other issues. As the courses have a set syllabus they cannot be delayed or postponed for an individual. Late attendance (arriving more than 15 minutes after the start time of your training/course) can lead to the Client missing its session and its fees being forfeit. Clients cannot join the course once it has started as you must complete each part of the course. We cannot offer refunds or compensation for missed training sessions or test. If the trainee do not attend elements of its time-tabled training, its course may be terminated with no further date to be offered.

For 1-2-1 Motorcycle Skills: Clients will not be time compensated in case of lateness. Thus, if the trainee is late for its training session, its training will have started at the initially appointed time. Hence, the Client will only take advantage of whatever remaining time there is available.
